It’s the middle of August, which is prime vacation time. Well, it used to be. Most folks in NYC and Europe have gone on holiday, with the ocean being a prime spot to get away from it all. Michigan is where the fam spent August days and it would be lovely to repeat that tradition. So the blog here will be in Lite mode for a week or so.

With that in mind, let’s hear it for a great guy who is turning off his weather computer and retiring from WFAA down in Tampa Bay. STEVE JERVE is saying ‘next’ to his life adventure. And Tampa has done the nicest thing…there is now a Steve Jerve St. Very nice. Fun fact – he once worked for the Green Giant company. Being 6 foot 6 might have helped. Well Dunne! Steve.
