Not that this blog keeps a list of Creatives who have been named General Manager or anything like that…but if there was such a list, CURTIS MILES would have two stars by his name. Not just because he’s a really great person (which is true) but because he has his second slot GM ship. Ready the clapping and fireworks. After a few years at his first GM slot in Wausau, Wisconsin at Allen Media’s ABC affil WAOW, he’ll be heading to Kansas City to take the reigns at Gray’s CBS affil in Kansas City, KCTV. As an Iowan by birth, he’ll be close to family and be in his element in the Midwest. Mr. M has worked with Magid and been CSD in Norfolk and Chicago’s WLS but has always had the itch to lead a station. And he made that happen. So happy for him and his wife…the boys have all grown up. You must visit Harry Truman’s library in Independence and no doubt chow down on KC Bar-B-Q. A big Well Dunne! for Curtis.
