I hope there’s one of you who would raise their hand if asked ‘who had a great 2024?’. Can’t say that I’d have my hand in the air. Which leaves the last day of the year as a quandary. But as fate would have it, we can start out or finish up or whatever…we can tell you about the exciting news coming out of Austin. CHRIS AYERS, who had his first job at WCNC in Charlotte, has taken the Senior Motion Graphics Artist slot at Nexstar’s KXAN in the Texas capital. He moved back to the US from a stretch in Canada, not really intending to go back into the day-to-day TV world. He’d done that at KPHO in Phoenix, FOX in Charlotte and WBBM CBS in Chicago. He’s also been Art Director for the syndicated Right This Minute. The Winthrop grad is hot and is not giving up his freelance work in case you’re in need of A+ work. 2025 looks to be great for Chris and his CSD ERIK CANDIANI. Two super talents in one place.
