This blog serves two purposes. One is to keep you all up-to -speed with the voice talent managed by WDT…selected as only a former Creative Services Director would, not somebody who just wants your monthly budget line. The second reason is to shine a small spotlight on the talented people who work their tuchuses off in markets and at networks coast to coast. Many times the spotlight is about new slots and therefore new opportunities to grow. Lots of happy communications. So, despite the all-encompassing enui of virus mandated isolation has had on the bog itself, we shall soldier on.
Have you ever been promoted and then, perhaps years later, wished you could go back to a job you really liked? A job that was fun and made you not dread Sunday evening? One such lovely lady has gotten the chance to do exactly what she wants, even if it means giving up her CSD chair. Nowadays, SUE DOBMEIER is back in the newsroom of sorts – she’s Executive Producer for AM Buffalo at WKBW, the Scripps ABC affil. She’s also Special Projects Producer – and she loves it. She was filling in for a few months and decided she wanted to make the switch, having produced magazine type programs in the past. And just like that she’s making it happen, and from home no less. Sue’s been Promo Manager in Rochester at WROC and CSD for WGRZ in The Nickel City (think a 5 cent coin). Her slot is open if you’re thinking of making a move. As always, we say Well Dunne! Sue.
