Moving just a tad bit south and staying on the Atlantic is KRISTEN JOYAL, who is trading her Norfolk, Virginia home for one in the Jacksonville area. Yes, Florida’s First Coast. Come to think about it, she’s always kept herself near the sea…smart lady. With a double major from the University of Rhode Island, her first TV venture was in landlocked Augusta, GA at WRDW. Oh wait..that’s the only non-Atlantic adjacent market. Moving along…she has a news background; she’s produced news and in her second TV job, she produced a lifestyle program in the Hampton Roads at WTKR. Boston’s fab CBS station WBZ was her next stop, again producing news. It was at WPRI in Providence that the marketing bug bit and she was producer and senior producer before returning to Norfolk’s WAVY, where she’s been nearly 15 years, now Creative Services Director. Her title will change but her ability to lead creatives won’t as Director of Marketing at Jacksonville’s WTLV / WJXX, which is NBC and ABC. So there ya go.
