Things seem gloomy all round, so it’s so refreshing and uplifting to hear from someone who is happy. AND headed to new opportunities within the media world. Such is the case with SCOT CHASTAIN. He’s now VP and GM of WISC in Madison, WI. It’s the flagship of the Morgan Murphy Media properties and from the sounds of it, he’ll have sway with them on an overall basis. WISC is a CBS affil. Scot makes the transition from Salt Lake City’s Sinclair operations where he has been Director of Sales and Marketing. He’s got the Marketing down pat, seeing as his career path has included Director of Marketing at WDSU in NOLA, and EVP of Affiliate Marketing for NBC. He started, his Texas A&M diploma in hand, doing promos for KBTX in Bryan, TX and WXII in Winston-Salem. He’s been a GM in Sacramento for KTXL and also GM in Lansing at WLNS. A very accomplished guy indeed. Well Dunne! Scot on a bright light in dark times.
