How are San Francisco and Miami media weathering the locked down, shelter-at-home orders in their cities? Out in the Bay Area, if you’re heading to an office (or newsroom, station, story) you can get pulled over and will need to show both Federal and state letters attesting to your need to be out. Wow…and Miami has tons of spring breakers who have had to be cleared off the beach. They have papers as well, but the details need to be nailed down before more is said. Everybody is having meetings, dealing with fears from both their own staffs and the public, throwing spaghetti plans against the wall to see what sticks. People are in their offices…people are not in their offices. Working from home can be very illuminating. It can be very isolating. Will stations continue to hire…fill empty slots or let them sit while we figure out where the virus and the economy land? Wow, it’s an interesting time to be alive. I hope we all step back one day and say it was a time we became better. All you people coping… Well Dunne!
Bravo to the cable companies who are helping students get the internet they need to keep their studies going. Yes, we’re targeting Spectrum, Comcast and Cox. So important. Glad they have stepped up.
Think About This: “May the sun bring you new energy by day. May the moon softly restore you by night. May the rain wash away your worries. May the breeze blow new strength into your being. May you walk gently through the world and know it’s beauty all the days of your life.” ~ Apache blessing
