Readership of this post goes up when the weather gets cold…make of that what you will. In that vein, it makes sense to turn our attention to a market flirting with the unusual 32 degrees freeze. San Antonio isn’t used to such temps as a rule, but they are used to seeing great content coming from KENS TV in the Alamo City. The one and only DON SMITH (Marketing Director) has added two to his team. First up is JON COKER, who worked in production on the floor crew, news as an MMJ and has now taken the Audience Engagement Specialist role in the Marketing department. He’s a UTSA grad and at one time not only ran his own company putting together school assemblies but also was an entertainer for the Spurs. You know…the guy who kept things exciting and made clients happy. Very creative. Well Dunne! Jon.
This being a two-fer kind of day, let’s add PATTY BISSEY to KENS Marketing. She started her TV career there and has now returned as Marketing Coordinator. As the station prepares for its 70th anniversary in February, Patty has already found old photos of herself from back in the 80s! Her background includes television and marketing for a city in North Texas. Her TV self worked at KRRT and KABB in the Alamo City back when they were owned by Paramount. Well Dunne! Patty.
