You might know the nickname for Charlotte, NC is The Queen City. Anybody know which Queen? Well, no stretch to say Queen Charlotte, the longest serving queen consort married to the King who lost the Revolutionary War. Nowadays, the England-to-Charlotte connection is pretty vague, although there is an awful statue of her at the airport. Enough to make you think it’s a monster in lieu of a person. Coca-Cola has a holiday spot that made me cry. It was that good. Finding the creative parties to it is nearly impossible since Coke chose WPP as their agency of record, and WPP is SO many different entities, nobody has time to chase down the names. Pity. Great spot. Hope you see it.
