Going home. No matter how many roads life has put us on, there’s something comforting about the road to home. DEVON HEFFER knows that feeling; he’s on his way back to Rochester, NY, where he went to high school and college. Even got his Masters. No, he’s not going to a reunion (although he could be) but his return is more current – to take the Creative Services Director slot at WHEC, the Hubbard-owned NBC affiliate in Rochester. Devon brings a great range of marketing chops to his new slot. He’s been in Las Vegas, where he discovered the promo side of news to Phoenix to Charlotte. His first-time steeaaring a marketing team was at Tegna’s KYTX in Tyler (think roses) and he’ll be coming back to Rochester from heading up creative for WNEP in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Without naming names….while reporting on the devastation in the NC mountains, a sweet young thing reporter mispronounced the name of the city from where she was filing a report. Twice.
