As much fun as it is to share new roles for great people, every now and then one stands out. This is one. Terre Haute’s Nexstar operation, WTWO (NBC), my wabashvalley.com and WAWV (ABC), owned by Mission Broadcasting and run by Nexstar…well, they named a new Vice President General Manager today and they could not have made a better choice. TIM SANDERS has been promoted and he’s going to use his background as Promotions Director to be the kind of GM we all want to work with and for. He’s been Sales Manager the last six years, so he’s got that down pat and brought in new clients. Creative people are really good at that kind of thing. Tim is also a leader in all the best ways. His community outreach activity is outstanding; raising money for causes in his community through running, dancing, DJing. Always with a smile and that spark of energy that makes those around him better. Did we mention his promotion to GM is the best thing in a long time in the world of TV?
