You are such talented people. So many of you got a start doing TV marketing before expanding your roles to filmmakers. PETE FERRARO is the creative behind Il Messaggero, a documentary about his father, who used tape recordings to connect people in the US with people in Italy. It’s been at film festivals and is very well received.  WAHEED AL QUAWASMI is another talent whose film, Jacir, is a personal story about his experience as a Syrian refugee adjusting to the American way of life in Memphis. Both gentlemen’s family stories are touching. Now we can add a lady to the list.  CRISTINA (Cris) REMENTO. This lady has a wide range of TV marketing positions including promo work for CBS Network, The List for Scripps and Hawaii News Now. She has directed the short doc Dear Aloha. Its world premiere is October 5 at the Hawaii International Film Festival. The story is about  the Hawaiian diaspora and how the spirit of Aloha is carried from the islands to all points across the globe. It addresses how the idyllic islands are also changing.
