New Mexico is unique, and beautiful, and frustrating, and artistic, and ancient and modern…it’s definitely living up to the Land of Enchantment reputation. Albuquerque is the center of the action (even though Santa Fe is amazing and Taos is mini-amazing) and it’s also home to KOAT TV, Hearst’s powerhouse ABC affil. When DEILIA WILLIAMS left to go head up creative at ABC in Houston, her second in command was promoted to the CSD slot. Let’s hear it for MATT MONTOYA. Matt is a southern New Mexico guy – got his degree from New Mexico State in Las Cruses, studying graphics and photography. His real entry into the promo world was via the late, and great LEE MINARD who was then wrangling creative at KLAS in Vegas. Matt worked with high end clients like Vegas.com doing commercials. With family back in NM, he worked with prodcos. KOAT is lucky to have him and we all join in giving him an enchanting Well Dunne! Matt.
