Fate is cruel and unpredictable and there is nothing we can do about fate stepping in to change things up. Hate that. Really hate it. For instance, LORRAINE SNEBOLD, Senior Director of Brand Strategy for Nexstar’s NewsNation, worked her magic in helping launch the channel and their new early show, Morning in America. Fate stepped in and she won’t be able to see the results of her talents. It’s hard to imagine that bright smile not being anywhere anymore. Lorraine has passed away, leaving many in the industry to recall all the mentoring, hiring, brainstorming, laughter and inspiration she was known to bring. She wowed them in Pittsburgh at KDKA when she helmed the Marketing, Programming and New Media before she went to Philly and KYW as CSD. Fox’s DC operation was her next TV role as VP Creative Services and Programming. Then as the century turned, she was one of the first onboard to launch National Geographic Channel. A lover of animals, she even had her own pet photography business . DC’s non-profit world benefitted from her before she headed to NewsNation in February. This is so very sad and there are no words that help make it better. God bless you, Lorraine.
