To anyone following Hurricane Helene’s destructive path across the eastern US, online TV coverage was the choice for information. A special shoutout for the excellent jobs done by TV is in order. As usual, Raleigh’s WRAL outdid themselves, as did Winston-Salem’s WXII and Greensboro’s WFMY. In for a silver is Charlotte’s WCNC. Not overlooking Florida’s valiant efforts –  just pointing out those news organizations that knew how to pivot when needed. Who expected hurricane problems in the North Carolina mountains. To all the journalists, cameramen, drivers and operators of all kinds – Well Dunne!
