JOEL PILGER is one of those guys who gets stuff done. And leads the way while getting stuff done. With his background as founder and partner and producer for Impossible Pictures, Joel took the lead and became a valued advisor (named Global Advisor – man knows how to name things) to studios and production companies. Sure, sure, he’s done more than that, but keep reading. In today’s world, he’s pivoted to help again, this time as yet again a founder of Founder Forum. It’s for founders by founders. (quick how many times did you read founders?) A resource, networking, and idea grouping to help navigate uncertain waters and make it all successful. Bravo to you Joel. The changes in the industry make some of us feel very isolated and abandoned …your group is a great idea. Many of you aren’t founders but really could be and you no doubt work with companies that are involved. Every stop forward is a success. Well Dunne Joel!
On the way back from the gym this morning, NPR must have run this story 3 or more times. The story about California fast food workers getting a bump in minimum wage to $20/hour. Good to hear. But also it led to the realization that some (many) of you work at operations that require a college degree and then offer less…some shamefully less. And people lament not getting the talent they want. It’s ludicrous, and I don’t mean the rapper. Is shame a thing of the past?
