This post is all about changes…people who have taken new positions in entertainment marketing. It’s a happy place in a sometimes confusing and upsetting world; always ending with an upbeat (sometimes funny) thought to consider as you go through your day. After several years of topsy turvy semi-isolation, and losing people who are missed every single day, anything that hints at an ending brings a melancholy, and such is the news today that the terrific TOM DOLAN is going to retire. So many of you owe your careers to the opportunities Tom provided. He worked with the most prestigious companies, acting as a valuable resource for Hearst Television, as well as several ABC/Disney Owned stations, several NBC Owned stations, Scripps, CNN, Cox Television, KSL-TV, and previous owners BELO, Raycom, Dispatch and Schurz. A former News Director in Phoenix and the main force which rebuilt Chicago’s WLS into the powerhouse it is today, Tom founded Dolan Media Management 23 years ago. He’s one of those people who has accomplishe so much, it’s hard to do it justice in the format of this post. I know he deserves the best retirement but the business will be the less for his absence. 2023 seems like it’s rather lonely already. Hoping that feeling is incorrect. But let’s give Tom a MAJOR Well Dunne!
Job Alert – Promo Producer KTAB/KTXS Abilene
Promo Pro BRAD CRUM, now running his own shop in Columbia, MO has the most lovely idea. To show support in this time of rising anti-semitic words and actions, he is showing support for the Jewish people with a menorah in his window. You can and should do the same. Well Dunne! Brad.
