Hellllooooo 2023. Can’t think of anything insightful or uplifting other than every day, whether it’s the first day of a new year or just a run-of-the-mill workday, can be a fresh start with new, positive energy. I don’t really appreciate those who nicknamed me Pollyanna, but it’s actually a compliment. So thank you.
Old acquaintances are not forgot. So it was so terrific to hear from PETER NOLL sharing the news he has a new job and it’s very prestigious. Big fan of PBS so there’s that. One time promo pro Peter has taken the General Manager and CEO slot at Western Tennessee Public Television, WLJT His vast TV experience will make him effective – such a good thing. He’s done it all, from production to promotion to executive slots and has the enthusiasm of a newbie…delightful. Well Dunne Peter!
Love football. Love it. Despite my tiny size, I played football (not hard tackle, but flag with big people) and did a great deal of work for KENT WALDREP, a TCU player who was paralyzed in a game against Alabama. His story is inspiring. He’s an amazing man. He ended up paralyzed. The Buffalo player who was so badly injured in the Monday night game brings back the stories he told of his journey from his tackle and, sadly, I can/t enjoy the game anymore. You are welcome to watch, cheer and enjoy. But at what cost should our amusement bear?
