Doing the right thing basically boils down to setting priorities. What is important and what is, well…just a way to pay for food and Dr. Pepper? Like the Knight Templar in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, one needs to not choose poorly. Spending time with family is a smart choice. It’s a choice that, in the end, you will never regret. Which leads to the point of today’s post. The one and only CHRISSY FUNK is going to set aside the day-to-day station marketing job she loves (and she’s so good at it) and head west to spend time with her Dad. Nobody knows what life is going to bring every day (as underscored by the last year and a half). You are all Carpe Diem creatives, so we all can get behind Chrissy’s choice. That leaves her slot as CSD at Graham Media Group’s WSLS open. While she’s trading the Rockies for the Appalachians, perhaps you would find the gorgeous area in Roanoke, Virginia just the right mix for your next step. Meanwhile, we’ll follow the exploits of the Appalachian Trail walker and promo alum of such operations as WPTV, WJXT and WTEN. She’s targeting September as the date to return to Colorado (she did digital media for KMGH in the Mile High City). The perfect time to watch the leaves turn in both mountain locales. Well Dunne! Chrissy. Zoom happy hour with martinis is next!
