No question about it…New Orleans is one of the world’s most unique cities and a real jewel for the USA. From architecture to food to history, NOLA is fab. And it’s the new home of WDSU’s Creative Services and Marketing Director MIKE NEWMAN, who only has had to float down the Mississippi from his former slot as CSD at WHBQ in Memphis. He’s got a deep background as promo producer at such stations as WITN in Greenville NC and WFTV in Orlando. He’s a Columbia College of Chicago film and video guy, so obviously he’ll not need any of this cold weather clothes. Let’s hope he’s enjoying at least one or two beignets a week while he spins his creative. Well Dunne! Mike.
Notice that there are few jobs in the creative and or marketing sector of TV anymore. Sure, there’s tons, and I mean TONS of promo producer slots open, but not as many jobs leading the departments where they would be if they could be found. GM’s and ND’s are switching like mad, which was never the case in the past. Who would have considered the creatives to be the long termers? If you wait long enough, just about anything reverses itself.
