Kicking 2014 off late, but persevering nonetheless. There are wonderful things afoot and smiles all around. For instance, JORDANA HOUCHINS has a fabulous new job – she’s Creative Director for the Queen Latifah Show. Queen not only had a fashion star outfit on the Peoples Choice Awards the other night, but her new talk show was voted favorite and she took home an Award. Jordana will no doubt have a blast marketing, having learned her stuff at KABC, KTLA and FOX in Charlotte. The University of Washington grad certainly knows how to make a new year fresh and exciting. Well Dunne! Jordana.
Closing the book on a long and illustrious career in TV marketing is ANNE ATKINS, who is retiring from her slot as VP of Marketing for the Raycom ownership group. She’s a classy, intelligent and talented woman who no doubt will be missed, and who deserves all the best. May you enjoy every day, Anne.

Think About This: "Come, my dear d’Artagnan, have a little courage! It is when one is lowest on the wheel of fortune that the wheel turns and elevates us. This evening your lot is going, perhaps, to change.” "Amen!" exclaimed d’Artagnan, stopping the carriage." ~ from TWENTY YEARS AFTER, by Alexander Dumas
Tucson has gorgeous vistas, great shopping, super spas and saguaro cacti, among other things. But it won’t have the delightful LEC COBLE much longer. Lec is leaving his Director of Marketing slot at CBS affil KOLD to take a corporate job with Raycom. That means decamping the Sonoran Desert and heading to his new office in Montgomery, Alabama. His new title will be Corporate Director of Marketing and he’ll be working with VP of of Raycom Media Marketing, ANNE ADKINS. Lec is a North Carolina guy and worked for Capital Broadcasting in Raleigh. Montgomery isn’t NC, but it is closer to family. The change goes down sometime after he helps find his own replacement at the combo on Tucson. Lec and his lovely wife will have to find great Mexican food in Montgomery, which sounds like a delicious adventure. So happy to hear about the great promotion, Lec. Well Dunne!

Think About This: "It is better to be disliked for who you are than to be liked for who you are not. How much easier to be authentic than to pretend to be someone you are not. What a relief just to be. How clear and simple. How honest. How real. The only thing you really have to share with anyone, anyway, is your own state of being." ~ Judith Ann Parsons
