Happiness can be experienced even at long distances. It radiates. It’s absolutely wonderful when it happens. Thanks to KIRK SZESNY, it’s how the week wrapped itself up. Kirk dialed to share some happy news – he’s headed to KSTP, Hubbard’s ABC affil in Minneapolis and St. Paul (thus, the calls), to wrangle their creative. He’ll be heading up by the end of the month and it’s just in time for the May Day Puppet Parade. Yes – a puppet parade, which sounds totally intriguing. Pictures must be posted. Alas, Kirk will be missing the Kentucky Derby when he leaves WHAS, the TEGNA ABC affil in Derby Town. His title was Director of Marketing and Creative Services. He was also Exec Producer for Great Day Live! and for University of Louisville’s sports programming. The University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee grad has some impressive stops on his resume: CSD at Pittsburgh’s WTAE plus Director of Programming and Marketing at KIRO in Seattle. Best part is he’ll be working with people who he’s worked with before…and they’re as happy as he is about it. Big Well Dunne! Kirk.
