From the Life After TV Department, we have two exciting new directions being taken by two creative folks. First we have BILL CASTELLO, who handled TV promo at WFAA in Dallas as well as handling several slots at KWTX in Waco, including CSD as well as starting his career as an announcer at KWTX Radio. Waco is just down I-35 from Big D. Bill’s going to stay in Waco and has scored a cool slot at his alma mater, Baylor, where he’s going to be a Multimedia Designer. Very exciting news and Well Dunne! Bill.

Further west in Salt Lake City, we tip our hat to TAMI OSTMARK who is Director of Global Business Marketing and Operations for Overstock. Yeah, the folks who see all kinds of cool stuff online. She’s been with them a bit, but its never too late to send a Well Dunne! Ya’ll remember Tami from her creative work at KSL TV and Radio.

Job Alert – CSD WCBD Charleston SC

WANE lining…that might be a way to describe the WANE-TV to WISH-TV connection that has two former WANEer TV promo talents now doing great things at CW affil WISH in Indianapolis. Joining former WANEer JERRY GRIDER, who is now WISH’s Promotion Manager, is COURTNEY HARSHMAN LEITSCHUH (pronounced ‘Light Shoe’) now his Assistant Promo Manager. The two call CSD SCOTT HAINEY boss. You do know, of course, that WANE is Fort Wayne’s CBS affil, owned by Media General – also the owner of WISH. Another WANE-WISH connection is the WANE News Director who was hired from (sure, go ahead…take a guess) WISH. Back to Ms. Courtney, who spent creative chop-honing time at NBC in Miami as well as being Sr. Creative Services Producer at WCPO in Cincinnati. She’s an Indiana U Bloomington grad and has a fabulous smile. Well Dunne! Courtney.

Sending comforting thoughts to BILL CASTELLO down in Waco who lost his father last week. God bless, Bill.

It’s a promotion for BRANDON SEIER, who traded his Promotion Manager title for Marketing Director at  Richmond’s WWBT, NBC in the Virginia capital. Brandon had his hands full with snow warnings but sounded very happy. Well Dunne! Brandon.

Ouch ouch ouch…poor BILL CASTELLO. He fractured his pelvis and is in the hospital instead of his office at KWKT, Fox in Waco, TX where he is the Creative Services Manager. Send him get well wishes via his facebook page or – such an idea – send him a real card in the mail. Here’s to fast, painless healing, Bill.

Looking for a fun book? Pick up former freelance writer NOELA HUESO’The Art of the Croods. Noela reinvented herself, as only a talented writer can do, and her book is totally delightful.

Think About This:  "A half-lived life, as Herman Melville describes it, is one in which we do not get to that inner place of peace and joy. Perhaps the most devastating scenario imaginable is to face death knowing that because of some imagined fear, you have always chosen a half-lived life in which you avoided doing the things your heart beckoned you to do. I urge you to change the scenario now. Start living your life with the courage to follow your heart.”  ~ Wayne Dyer
