This holiday was absolutely full of ‘non-holiday’ events. From KEYE’s CSD STEVE HARRIS’ truck getting totaled (he’s OK…that’s the best news) to Lincoln, Nebraska based former KLKN TV promo pro DAVE DWINELL’s heart attack and bypass surgery (sending him healing thoughts…knowing he’ll be just fine in no time)….the events weren’t ones that bring about confetti and champagne. Our best thoughts go out to COUNCIL BRADSHAW, Fox Charlotte’s CSD, whose father passed away. And to a Raleigh-based PR lady whose house burned down on T-day itself. It all boils down to the reminder to be kinder with each other. We need to give each other more Well Dunne!’s….and focus on helping each other in any way we can.

Remember, the tech folks are dealing with Well Dunne! Talent site, so it will be up and down for the next few days. We’re still there 1000%….

Think About This: "Science may have found a cure for most evils; but it has found no remedy for the worst of them all – the apathy of human beings." ~ Helen Keller

Reuniting with a former co-worker is COUNCIL BRADSHAW, who has been named the VP of Creative Services at the soon-to-be FOX duop in Charlotte, WJZY-WMYT. Council at one time was with FOX affil WGHP in the High Point market (up the road from The Queen City) where he worked with the now-GM in Charlotte. What’s he been doing in between all this? He’s been a partner in Greensboro-based DejaView Media. He’s a major-good cameraman. Well Dunne! Council.

Think About This: “To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget.”  ~  Arundhati Roy
