The Kirkaldie family is adding another place setting at the dinner table. Well, not right away. One of these days, after the high chair and bib stage,  another little angel will be sitting and discussing her day since former promo pro KEVIN KIRKALDIE has welcomed a new little girl to his fold, making the count 3 women and 1 man in the Seattle household.

Modern Family’s episode called Connection Lost is utterly amazing. I urge everybody to watch it because it sums up the ‘new media’ landscape better than any paper, talk or discussion ever. Required viewing actually. Bravo to writers Steven Levitan and Megan Ganz

We project onto someone now standing in front of us the mistakes of someone we haven’t seen for years. We falsely believe that judging someone now will somehow give us more power or control over our destiny. The opposite of course is true, because judgment is the death of enchantment. There’s no place like home.  Dorothy knew that and spent her time in Oz looking to return to Kansas. Most of us don’t have to worry about a Wizard or a hot air balloon to do this. Despite it all, Home is still what calls us, and so many of you make changes with that as the focal point. How can we get the HR people to understand that going home…being close to family…is not just a valid point, but THE valid point in life’s path. Such is the case with two wonderful Creatives. BOBBY RIGG is back in Houston amongst family and making the folks happy at KHOU where he’s Sr. Writer Producer. Heading home to the Pacific Northwest is KEVIN KIRKALDIE, who had been at the Nexstar duop in Memphis. He’s a super guy, so all you NW folks who are on the lookout for someone super…he’s your man. Well Dunne! Bobby and Kevin.

Get out the confetti and streamers…it’s an anniversary. Voice man MARK DRISCOLL started his radio career on this date quite a few years ago. He’s made huge impacts in NYC, LA, Philly…you get the idea. Of course, he’s been nicknamed Mr. Voice by RICK DEES.

Job Alert – VP Creative TruTV NYC

Memphis is one cool jazz town. Hard on the Mississippi and home to great bar-b-q and Graceland. Come April, it will be home to KEVIN KIRKALDIE when he takes over the Marketing Director slot at WPTY/WLMT/WJKT in Memphis, Nexstar’s ABC/CW/Fox operations respectively. Kevin is a super guy and this is such happy news. The Kirkaldie household will love the Delta after the mountains of Roanoke, VA. A big Well Dunne! Kevin.

And he doesn’t even have to go to the DMV to get a new state license. Yes, that’s just one of the many pluses KEVIN KIRKALDIE has on his plate as the new Marketing Director of NBC affil WWBT in Richmond, VA. He started Monday and is thrilled to be at the Raycom station in the Old Dominion’s state capital. Kevin is an Oregon guy who first worked in TV as a Director and even an on-air sports and weather anchor at this first station, KTVZ in Bend. After Directing at KEZI in Eugene and KMTR in Springfield, he switched to marketing and promo at KOIN in Portland. DC’s WUSA brought him east to hone his writing producing skills and he most recently was heading up the shop at WSLS in Roanoke, VA. The whole family is happy to be settling into their new city, including baby SAVANNAH, who is too cute for words. Well Dunne! Kevin.

Are you a fan of Ted, that naughty bear of movie fame? If yes, then you’re in luck…you can buy your own talking Ted plush toy bear when it comes out this fall. And yes, the toy bear will have the same potty mouth the film bear does.

What kind of holiday is KEVIN KIRKALDIE going to have?  He’s the Creative Services Director of Media General’s NBC affiliate WSLS in Roanoke, VA. Well besides having a gorgeous part of the country in which to celebrate, Kevin is going to spend his first holiday as a dad. He and his wife welcomed daughter Savannah this past weekend. Sending the family warm wishes and lots of our best thoughts. Well Dunne! Kirkaldies.

Spending time at Disneyland this past weekend was Well Dunne! Talent’s KEVIN MACHADO. Nothing like some magical time with Mickey and Company.

Was that WTVD’s CURTIS MILES at the Dolphins home game Sunday? Why yes, yes it was. A lifelong Miami fan, Curtis finally got to see his favorite team play. And he got to take his two sons with him as well. It was just like they say on the credit card commercial – priceless.
