It’s a Two-fer Friday. Two new CSD announcements, all focusing at one place. Like the chess game that TV marketing sometimes becomes, which isn’t really a bad thing for change to fall into place like dominoes . Fresh ideas, fresh energy always energizes any slot at any company; all the more for creatives. So let’s start out with the newest member of the CSD brigade, NATE TODD. Nate’s the new creative leader at Hearst’s WTVM in Birmingham, Alabama. Nate’s promotion is well deserved; he’s been the Assistant CSD at the NBC affil, so he’s all ready to roll. A grad of University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Nate’s first TV job was as a Topical Producer for WCCB FOX in Charlotte. He then headed a bit north to Winston-Salem’s WXII where he was ASD before heading to Birmingham. A big Well Dunne! to Nate.
Meanwhile, his former boss JASON HOLLOWAY is headed to Hearst in Kansas City, KMBC, where he’ll wrangle the CSD department. Jason began his broadcast career in Abilene, Texas and then headed to KTUL in Tulsa doing Special Projects. He took on the promo world at KMOV in St. Louis (horray hometown and Cardinals!) as Promotion Manager, Special Projects Producer and Photog. The man can do it all! He then went on to Boston’s WCVB as Assistant CSD under RUSS NELLIGAN before getting his first CSD slot in B’ham. Big Well Dunne Jason!

Birmingham is gorgeous in the spring. NATE TODD got to enjoy all the famed southern blossoms when he arrived in March to be Assistant Creative Services Director of WVTM, the Hearst NBC there. Nate came from Hearst’s WXII in Winson-Salem where he held the same slot of ACSD. He’s a North Carolina man with a degree from UNC Greensboro. His first TV promo job was at WCCB, Fox in Charlotte. Jumping into the Topical world is like learning to swim in the deep end. He no doubt did this very well. Enjoy B’ham, Nate. Well Dunne!
One less trailer in the park, so to speak. LEILA AMIRSADEGHI is the new VP of Client Development at Burbank-based entertainment marketing agency Eclipse. They’re expanding, which is a refreshing break from the litany of cuts happening elsewhere. Ms. Leila was at Trailer Park as VP Client Engagement and has led biz development at BLITZ as well, where her client roster read like a who’s who of entertainment. Well Dunne! Leila.

Furniture capital of America – High Point, NC. Part of the Greensboro and Winston-Salem market. Gorgeous part of the country and the spot for furniture people. The Hearst operation there, WXII, has a new Assistant Creative Services Director. Let’s hear it for NATHANIEL TODD, who goes by Nate at the NBC affiliate. Well, he probably goes by Nate everywhere, actually. The former Eagle Scout (which is impressive) has a degree in Film and Television Studies from UNC Greensboro and began his career in the market at WFMY in the market before heading off to write promos for JEFF ARROWOOD at Fox Charlotte. Now he’s back in the Triad and handling his first management slot, working with CSD MICHAEL LEACH. Nate grew up in the same area of North Carolina as Edward R. Murrow. Well Dunne! Nate.
VALERIE GREEN has added Senior to her VP title, and switched cable nets with her new job. Now the Sr. VP of Marketing for Cablevision Systems Local Media Group, Valerie was VP of Marketing at Fuse. The UVA grad (oldest higher learning institution in the US, but you all knew that, right?) is no stranger to Cablevision…she’s been with them before. For eleven years. She’s also been GM of SPIN and marketing Director of Rolling Stone and Premiere magazines. Sounds like a blast. Well Dunne! Valerie.
