“My mother’s blue eyes and my father’s high hopes”…that’s how SKYE BEITLER got his name. Best name award for sure. Skye has news to share and it involves a coast-to-coast journey as well as a brand new tltle – his first official management one to boot. Skye is heading to the St. Pete Tampa market to be CSD at Tegna’s WTSP, the CBS affil. He starts Sept 8, right after the holiday, and he’ll be coming from Oakland, CA where he’s been writing and producing for Group 236, the creative production arm of FOX’s KTVU. The Detroit native has worked doing promo writing and producing at WMAR in Baltimore, where he served as Interim CSD, as well as in Lansing and Flint in Michigan. He’ll be loving the Florida winters and to him we say Well Dunne!

Fast moving world for sure. Here’s a quick Well Dunne! to the following entertainment pros and their respective new adventures: BECKY STITZER now heading up WBRE creative in the Wilkes Barre/Scranton market; BRANDON MULLIS now heading up creative at WFXG in Augusta, GA; SPENCER SMITH heading up Creative for WLBT in Jackson, MS…

Sincere condolences to WBRZ’s NOAH KOZINKO on the sudden death of his brother.

Bravo to Telemundo’s Bajo El Mismo Cielo which is working to raise awareness of Type 2 Diabetes. The novella kicks off Wednesday. Bien Hecho Dunne.

CSD ALEX SHAW found the exact perfect person for the open writer producer slot he had open at WMAR in Baltimore. When he lost Sr. Writer Producer Editor SKYE BEITLER to the San Francisco area, Alex went on the hunt for someone with the skills of a techno editor and the eye of an artist. He found it in MARK HERNANDEZ, who was freelancing in the DC area.  Mark hails from Richmond, although he got around as a military kid, living in Germany at one time. While in Virginia’s capital, he did some very interesting creative things, like work with RVA Magazine for 3 years as a video director/editor.  Mark spent a year in Virginia State University’s Advanced Creative Services Dept as a contract director/editor/videographer and he played a key role in the creation of an Educational TV show that has since been nominated for an Emmy. He even got to do what a lot of us have no doubt contemplated – send one of those Angry Bird characters into near space – Mark did it as part of their "Angry Birds In Space" Campaign launch.  He’s already hard at work in Charm City, and Alex is a happy man. Well Dunne! Mark.
