KSL in Salt Lake has made changes, one of which is to name TAMI OSTMARK as the Creative Services Director of the NBC affiliate in the Beehive State. Tami’s official title is Director of Marketing and Promotions of KSL Broadcasting, which includes an AM and FM radio station as well. A native of Salt Lake, Tami has been with the station for five years and worked with former VP of Marketing, STEVE POULSEN. Steve is now in Pocatello, Idaho heading up five radio stations under the Riverbend Communications banner. Well Dunne! to Tami and Steve.

JOEL CHIODI has left the NFL Network where he was VP of Marketing and is now EVP of Branding and Social Marketing for Legendary Entertainment. Cool. It’s in beautiful Burbank, CA and Joel will, indeed, be taking his 2011 PromaxBDA Sports Media Marketing – Cause Marketing Award for his new office. Well Dunne! Joel.

CNN Marketing pro SCOT SAFON, whose official title was EVP/Chief Marketing Officer CNN Worldwide, is stepping into a very different role  – he’ll be helming HLN. The Cornell Masters holder has a degree from UVa in history and has been at Turner for 14 years. Very cool and a big Well Dunne! to you Scot.

Calling it quits in Salt Lake City is STEVE POULSEN. The departing VP of Marketing and Promotion has been with KSL for 21 years, during which time he did a variety of jobs, including being a sales AE, local sales supervisor, radio intern and all the hats one wears while doing creative and promotions. This Bonneville-owned NBC affil is part of the newspaper, radio, online media operation hit with major consolidations in the last month.

Well Dunne! Talent’s J.J. MYERS had a tough  time walking her dog last night. Seems her New  York neighborhood was closed off – police everywhere. VIP in the hood – President Obama was set to spend time at the History Museum, so they locked things down. J.J. wasn’t bummed – she never is. Talk about the most happy voice in the world…that’s J.J.

VERY cute promo on AMC for Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.
