Let’s focus on the future. No, not the immediate future of PROMAX LA and Station Summit. The real future…babies. Two such newbies are with us now, and it’s time we smile, and coo and carry on in their honor.

ERIK CANDIANI, Director of Marketing and Creative Services at KARE, welcomed a brand new daughter, making little Riley his hat trick baby. Already a stylista, Miss Riley was last seen in a Facebook picture with the most adorable headband. Great news from the Candiana family!

Out in Erik’s former stomping grounds, Denver, comes word that ROBIN HOFFMAN, the Creative Services Director of ABC affil KMGH (Scripps) has welcomed a little girl as well. Let’s hear it (but not toooo loudly) for Grace Collette. If she takes after mom, she’s going to be a real looker. Well Dunne! Hofmans.

Down in Jacksonville, TJ KING the CSD of Cox’s duop WAWS/WTEV (Fox/CBS) is awaiting a family addition the old fashioned way – no word on if they have a boy or girl on the way. It’s the old fashioned way.

Lovely Jacksonville, FL is where ERIC PECK  is at home spinning motion graphics magic and editing promotions for the Cox Media Group TV stations along Florida’s First Coast. For those who want more details, that would be Fox affil WAWS and CBS affil WTEV. The duop is new to the Cox family but Eric isn’t new to the stations…at one time he was in charge of all the news editing when they were owned by another broadcast chain. Eric has done some very exciting freelance in addition to his work for Jax’s Dalton Agency, where he helped with The Wounded Warrior Project. Looks like CSD TJ KING got very lucky…as well he should. Well Dunne! Eric

TJ KING has finally been handed the title of Creative Services Director at WAWS/WTEV  the FOX / CBS combo in Jacksonville, FL. TJ has been running the creative for months, and now it’s official. TJ came to the duop in May of last year from WAGA in Atlanta. The Jax native is on the lookout for a Promotion Manager, so let the job hunt begin. Well Dunne! TJ.

SHANNON JAMIESON DRIVER is now in the drivers seat at DIY down in Knoxville. She’s just been named VP Consumer Marketing for the Scripps network. She’s been director of partnership marketing and brand extensions at HGTV and made the switch as easy as signaling to change lanes. Well Dunne! Shannon.

Topicals at the Gannett CBS affiliate in Columbia, SC are now being handled by MICHAEL KANADAY. He’s a local guy who knows how to do it all, including shoot. As topical producer at WLTX, he probably won’t have to. Well Dunne! Michael. And thanks to CSD JIM HAYES for the info.

Job Alert – two great slots open at KIRO in Seattle. Image Producer and Topical Producer. CSD MATT LAWS is the man to talk to.

Well Dunne! Talent’s RICCARDO PEROTTI isn’t just a bilingual voice man. He’s also a magnificent musician who has a show coming up Saturday Feb 12 at 8pm. It’s at El Sitio in Coconut Grove, FL. Cool.

Tweets on a billboard? It’s working in Texas. And it sounds like a great idea for local TV marketing, too.

My heavens. I had no idea. Anybody else guess that the US House of Representatives has spent nearly $1 million on bottled water? A year? Yep. That breaks out to approximately $2,000 per member. I can’t imagine what the bar tab would equate to….

By imagining the possibilities-our positive intentions-clearly, then letting them go and having faith in the benevolence of the Universe, we remove the barriers of our limited thoughts and open the path for wonderful things to come our way."

June 28 is the first day on the job on the First Coast for NOAH KOZINKO. He’s been named the Creative Services Director at Newport’s WAWS/FOX and WTEV/CBS in Jacksonville, which is known as Florida’s First Coast. Noah is a Florida guy, having been born in Key West (how cool is that) and calling Dunnellon home. He began his TV career at WOGX in Ocala and earned promo chops at WOFL in Orlando. He’s been at market leader WWL in New Orleans as Promotion Manager. Well Dunne! Noah. You’ll love being back in the sunshine state. Drive down I-10 carefully.

And more good news from the same locale...TJ KING (who you read about here when he took the job in Jax) has been promoted to Promotion Manager. He’s done such a fab job. Well Dunne! TJ.

June 25 is Bring Your Pet To Work Day. WCNC in Charlotte was cool enough to allow dogs and even a cat or two. Anybody else work for a cool operation like that? Hope so.

Naked Pepsi? A week with NO labels or logos or anything at all. That’s what the promise is if Argentina wins the World Cup. This on the heels of the Argentine Coach’s promise to run around Buenos Aries naked if the win comes their way. Don’t you just LOVE south America? Yep, sure do!
