Hurray! Another creative is joining the ranks of General Manager. VP GM to be precise. Brilliant move on the part of the good folks at Nexstar, who have chosen ROBBY THOMAS to the head up the Dothan, Alabama operation, WTVY. He begins at the CBS affiliate next month. He’ll be leaving the Director of Marketing and Audience Development post at another CBS operation, WBTV in Charlotte now owned by Gray. Robby is a southern man by birth, and this new opportunity will find him a bit closer to his hometown. He’s been in North Carolina for around 9 years, at WBTV and before that in Raleigh at WNCN when it was owned by NBC. He’s done some very effective work and it’s such good news to hear about his new adventure. Well Dunne! my friend.

Now that BRENDA BURATTI isn’t doing TV on a full time basis anymore (for those with a terribly short memory she has retired from her Tegna Marketing Director role in Portland, Oregon at KGW) she is jumping into politics fulltime. As a matter of fact, she’s running for Democratic Precinct Committee Woman in her neck of the woods. If you live up that direction, make sure you’re registered to vote!
