Just when we seem to need the kindest, funniest and most talented people around us more than ever, they slip away into that next mysterious realm, leaving us the sadder for their leaving. So it is with MICHAEL HENRY, who was always called Mike. What a writer! And such off-the-wall ideas, which is the highest form of compliment a creative can receive. He left us mid-January, after putting up a valiant clash with ill health that required him to step away from his CSD slot at Fox in DC a few years ago. He loved being creative, but he was thrilled to spend time with his daughter and her children and never shoveling snow again. He was happy, but the world of whimsy and mirth is the poorer for it. He was the producer and writer for CBS Network entertainment, his focus being on the comedy shows. The ideal spot for Mike – he was absolutely hilarious. A dry wit with a semi-soft gravely voice, his comments were the kinds that made you spit white wine out your nose (or red…he was an equal opportunity comic). He spent time wrangling local promo in Fresno and, as stated, the FOX O&O in DC. He has many more stops along the way, but you get the idea. Always fresh and never cookie cutter, his mind was wonderful to watch work. He was a good friend – he called daily to cheer me up as my mother went downhill and then passed away. I hope he is entertaining her at some lovely café right now, the two laughing and watching over us all. God bless you, Mike.

Think About This: “Grief is a reflection of a connection that has been lost. We grieve those we love, we grieve those we like, and we even grieve those we never met personally. All you need to feel is a connection.”  ~  David Kessler
