Besides wrangling the creative for CBS’ KTVT in Dallas, DAVID HERSHEY has a most unique hobby. Many of you know he owns, drives, and loves his car, a Firebird  painted to look like Burt Reynolds’ wheels from Smokey and the Bandit. The car even makes personal appearances. What it also does, as it just did the last part of May, is participate in the Bandit Run. 45 years ago, the movie was a sensation, a fun story about driving a semi on the ultimate beer run.  You really need to watch it. Well the Bandit Run is a lot like the film…a trip from Texarkana to Atlanta. Complete with characters from the film. Add David behind the wheel, a 10 gallon hat and you might even imagine Burt being there himself. RIP Burt. It sounds like total fun – talk with David about details. Well Dunne! Mr. Hershey!
