It will be a long time before pumpkin spice will sound enticing. It’s so hot west of the Mississippi that it defies actual description. So instead of thinking fall, colored leaves and cozy sweaters, the words of this September seem to be “put on more sunscreen or get back into the A/C.”

WAWV’s JEREMY MOORE has a new daughter. Is there anything more happy than a new little one? All the best for this magical little girl.

Have you all checked out PETE FARRARO’s doc’s website? He is amazing – fulltime Creative for Sinclair in Baltimore AND (wait, there’s more) a writer/producer and director of Il Messaggero, an award-winning documentary about his family. Click here. AND wait, there’s STILL more. The doc will be on PBS affil WQED out of Pittsburgh this month or next. More info will come your way when it comes mine. Ben Fatto! Pete. (That’s Italian for Well Done [Dunne])

Speaking of films, WAHEED ALQUAWASMI’s Jacir is another title he can be proud of. It’s the story of a Syrian refugee who landed in Memphis to start over. Watching his works come to the screen is so wonderful. Well Dunne! Waheed!

Can’t tell you where ERIC CANDIANI is headed as his next step, but he’s taking his lucky wife on an anniversary trip that sounds so exotic and adventurous, it just makes one want to jump on the next plane. Easter Island, here they come~!

Think About This: “A mark of an open mind is being committed to your curiosity than to your convictions. The goal of learning is not to shield old views against new facts. It’s to revise old views to incorporate new facts. Ideas are possibilities to explore, not certainties to defend.”  ~  Adam Grant
