It wasn’t planned, but it ended up that way. When EMILY MOWERS left her Marketing Director slot at WVEC in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia for the Marketing Director slot of sister station KPNX in Phoenix, little did she know that her replacement was going to be coming – from Phoenix. Enter MICHEL PELLETIER, who had of late been handling marketing for Scripps syndie show The List, produced at the ABC shop in the Valley of the Sun. One phone call led to a job interview led to Mr. P being offered the job. More to the process, but that’s the short version. He’s flying east the end of the week for a new adventure waterside, since the station needs to make plans about the rising waters of the Indian River. They’re ‘thisclose’. Michel is a proud French Canadian who has worked in TV marketing this side of the border at Meredith in Atlanta and Greenville, SC. He’s also been Director of Distribution Marketing and Affiliate Relations for Warner Bros Entertainment. He’s a great guy, so ya’ll be good to him in Vah-ginny. Well Dunne! Michel!
